Schedule a Session

This page contains important information about preparing for your appointment. Please read through the following before scheduling.

Introductory Appointments

If you are new to acupuncture, schedule an introductory phone appointment to determine whether acupuncture is right for you. Even if you are familiar with acupuncture, you may want to schedule an introductory appointment to get to know me and have any questions answered. An in-person intake appointment is 90 minutes in length. Follow-up visits are typically 45 minutes to an hour long.

The Treatment Process

Acupuncture can be an effective treatment for musculoskeletal pain of all types, functional issues such as neuropathy, headaches, gastrointestinal problems, chronic fatigue, long covid, fertility concerns, and psycho-emotional difficulties such as stress, anxiety, and depression.

There are some conditions that respond quickly and rapidly to a single acupuncture treatment. More commonly, a series of treatments may be recommended. Chronic conditions are often managed with ongoing therapy. Appointments can be booked as a single visit. Multi visit packages are also available.

Accessible Acupuncture

It is my goal to make my acupuncture services available to everyone in our community. To this end, I do offer discounted and sliding scale services on a limited basis. Please contact me at jhennesseyacupuncture@gmail.com for more information.

How to Prepare for Your Session

Wear loose comfortable clothing to your treatment appointment or bring shorts and a t-shirt or tank top to change into. You may feel very relaxed or somewhat unfocused after a treatment. Stay well hydrated and avoid heavy foods, alcohol, and strenuous exercise following treatment.

When you arrive at the office building, please call or text and we will come to the entrance to let you in.
